Jobtailor is seeking a senior analytics professional in Berlin to own data pipelines and predictive models for GP reporting, demand forecasting, and yield management. • Merge external market data with internal performance data.
• Provide data-backed recommendations on trade lane strategy, carrier negotiations, and risk management.
• Originate creative, non-obvious analyses.
• Report directly to the VP of Trade Management.

Requirements

• Expert-level SQL, including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization


• Strong programming skills in Python or R for statistical modeling


• Fluent and pragmatic use of AI tools to accelerate coding and analysis


• Deep understanding of Pricing, Gross Profit, Yield, and Procurement


• Ability to think creatively and solve ambiguous problems quickly


• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical work for business stakeholders


• Experience specifically within Freight Forwarding, Container Shipping, or Global Logistics preferred


• Experience with Yield Management or Revenue Management algorithms preferred


• Familiarity with financial hedging strategies or risk modeling preferred


• EU citizenship or a valid EU work permit and visa, or need for EU visa support
