Description

As a Senior Data & Analytics Engineer at simpleclub, you'll be our data champion!
In this individual contributor role, you'll help drive data-informed decisions across all areas - from business and marketing to product. Through smart analyses, automated reports, and top-notch data quality, you'll ensure we always have the best insights!

How will you make an impact:

• You advise on the right KPIs and reportings, proactively challenge the status quo and introduce change in coordination with you stakeholders.
• Drive data by owning and maintaining the BigQuery infrastructure to support Business, Marketing and Product analytics.
• Bye-bye, manual reports! You automate existing reports, migrate data into the data warehouse, and ensure smooth analytics operations.
• Develop and enforce data governance practices, including documentation, validation, and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and integrity across all systems.
• Develop and maintain data transformation. Design and implement scalable data models that are easy for stakeholders to query and understand.
• Using Tableau and other BI tools, you create dashboards that not only look great but also enable truly smart decision-making.
• You work closely with Leadership, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Product to drive data-driven projects forward.
• You automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting to boost efficiency and accuracy.
• You keep us up to date with the latest data technologies and best practices.
• Your ELT/ETL pipelines ensure that all data is cleanly integrated and transformed.
• As an internal thought leader for data strategy, you ensure that simpleclub stays state-of-the-art when it comes to data-driven decision-making.

What we value:

• Experience in end-to-end data architectures: including data warehousing, pipeline automation, and analytics.
• Advanced Proficiency in SQL and BigQuery: Demonstrated expertise in writing complex queries and managing data warehousing solutions.
• ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Fivetran): You use them to process data efficiently and take automation to the next level.
• AI-savvy: Using AI is nothing new to you - you've already successfully integrated it into your workflows.
• Data visualization expert: With Tableau and other BI tools, you create dashboards that deliver insights and drive impact.
• Python or R: You use them for smart data analysis and automation.
• Data governance & security matter to you! You're familiar with data classification, masking, and encryption.
• Statistics is your thing. You use cohort analyses and more to extract actionable insights from data.
• Project & stakeholder management: You're self-organized, can manage multiple projects in parallel, and collaborate as an equal with different teams.
• You can explain data clearly. Even non-techies understand what the numbers say thanks to you.
• Education: You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Business - a Master's is a nice-to-have.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, BI, or a similar field - ideally in a B2B SaaS company in the education or HR tech space.
• CRM systems like HubSpot / Salesforce: You're experienced in structuring, extracting, and utilizing revenue data effectively.

Your salary: We transparency. We have different levels within our salary bands, and we use these levels to determine a fair salary for each range. Your salary is reviewed at least once a year.

The salary band for this role in Germany is: 66.980 - 90.620 EUR annually gross. If you live outside of Germany, we will adapt to your local market.

We have implemented salary bands in all job descriptions to ensure we treat all employees fairly. Once we get to know each other better and understand your skills and experience during the interview process, we will be able to evaluate where you would fit within the salary band.
