Job Description
For our research and development site in Schwabenheim (near Mainz) we are recruiting for a Senior Data Analyst (m/w/d) in a permanent and full-time position.
Role Responsibilities:
Develops data analytics and reporting solutions by studying information need within R&Ds; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; follows the SDLC software development lifecycle.
Demonstrate excellence in assays used in pharma R&D and Quality Control (QC) of biological batches
Act as a product owner and define the strategy for the calculation and assay trending platform used in R&D and Manufacturing to release product batches and perform data trending with high levels of problem-solving and creativity
Steering research projects and activities within R&D IT applying and using agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
Lead and develop the product platform strategy in close partnership with the business
Apply innovative methods to visualize and interrogate complex data sets
Demonstrate a personal commitment to extend and develop knowledge and expertise
Participate in collaborations within our global research and IT organization to ensure that current computational assay calculations and trending knowhow and tools are leveraged for R&D in animal health
Act as a scientific counterpart for R&D for the operation and implementation of R&D applications with focus on data
Utilize analytical applications to identify trends and relationships between different pieces of data, draw appropriate conclusions and translate analytical findings into risk management and marketing strategies that drive value.
Qualifications:
Degree in computer science or related STEM fields
MS/BS in IT, Chemistry / Biochemistry / Biophysics with a computational emphasis and 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
Effective at working with business partners to understand their needs in order translate them into clear requirements.
skilled in data analytics in the field of chemistry and ideally biology (e.g. Spotfire, MS Power BI, Pipeline Pilot, SQL)
Knowledge of project management tools like JIRA, Teams, Confluence
Advanced knowledge and expertise in agile ways of working e.g. scrum or kanban
Dynamic personality with a passion for innovation and problem-solving
and excellent collaboration, and team-working skills
Excellent communication and writing skills in English
