Zusammenfassung

Medtronic is seeking a German-speaking Customer Trainer for the Hugo RAS program to educate surgeons, assistants and OR staff. The role requires extensive travel (about 75%) to a renowned training center in Belgium, delivering high-level technical training and supporting clinical education programs across Europe.

You will work in a high-tech environment, collaborating with Sales, Clinical teams and proctors to ensure patient safety and program success while advancing robotic surgery adoption.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 5+ years in training, field sales, sales support, clinical or technical role in medical devices/healthcare.
  • Experience with laparoscopic and/or robotic surgery technologies.
  • Clinical and/or operating room experience.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a training mindset.
  • Experience in design, development, delivery and evaluation of product/ procedure-based technical education using blended learning.

Aufgaben

  • Deliver education and training on Hugo Robotic Assisted Surgery technology, covering indications in General Surgery, Urology and Gynecology.
  • Provide technical training and support labs and hands-on workshops.
  • Apply structured teaching methods to assess trainee efficiency and safety.
  • Master the robotic surgery ecosystem, including equipment, instruments and supporting digital infra.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Clinical, Medical Affairs, and proctors to align training program expectations.
  • Develop expertise in RAS System Technology, applications, OR efficiency and training pathways.

A Day in the Life

Customer trainer for HUGO RAS

We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our European Robotics Surgical Team! Use your technical expertise and clinical experience to train, educate and inspire surgeons, first assistants, and OR staff from a variety of surgical specialties to advance patient care and outcomes with the Medtronic Hugo RAS robot. We are seeking a dynamic professional to deliver high level technical training and support clinical educations programs and events, drive competitive readiness across our organization. In this role, you will be part of an organization that has made the implementation of robotic surgery a strategic priority and is committed to making it a success, while always placing patient safety at the forefront.

This role is open for a German speaking employee willing to travel 75% of his time to the training centre.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver education and training on the Medtronic Hugo Robotic Assisted Surgery technology, covering the actual surgical indications in General Surgery, Urology and Gynaecology.
  • Deliver technical training and actively support laboratory sessions and hands‑on workshops.
  • Apply a structured teaching methodology to assess the efficiency and safety levels of trainees.
  • Master the ecosystem surrounding robotic surgery, including a solid understanding of surgical equipment and instruments, as well as the supporting digital infrastructure.
  • Collaborate and interact with the Sales and Clinical teams, Medical Affairs colleagues and surgical proctors to properly prepare and set the expectations of the training programs procedure‑based.
  • Develop expertise in RAS System Technology, RAS System applications and advanced technology, OR Efficiency, Training Pathway process, Training/coaching techniques/methodologies.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and +5 years of experience in training, field sales, sales support, clinical or technical role in the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Experience with Laparoscopic and/or Robotic Assisted Surgery technologies.
  • Clinical and/or operating room experience.
  • Proven experience and/or training mindset.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • High capacity and excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience in design, development, delivery and evaluation of product and procedure based technical education and training using blended learning solutions.
  • Positive mindset, team player with professional work ethic.
  • Willingness to travel 75% of your time.
