Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They evaluate products, services, facilities, manufacturing, or business processes to ensure quality standards are met. The team develops and implements quality plans, programs, and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and Six Sigma tools. They review, analyze, and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems, perform quality audits, and develop corrective actions for recurring issues. The team collaborates closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to meet requirements.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the Quality Key Contact for Customer relations, including TRS alignment (with CQE Auto / ICT)
  • Gather and act on Voice of Customer (VoC) data
  • Monitor and improve Customer Satisfaction, championing actions within TE
  • Manage Customer Scorecards
  • Oversee quality performance metrics such as claims, DPPM, response times
  • Manage warranty processes and lead warranty settlements
  • Lead and promote warranty reduction programs across relevant functions and sites
  • Prepare and facilitate TRS (TEC) & Customer Quality Meetings
  • Evaluate and communicate Customer Specific Requirements
  • Support negotiations of Quality Agreements
  • Assist with Engineering Changes and NPI projects
  • Moderate and lead escalated quality issues
  • Coordinate customer complaints and manage containment actions at customer sites
  • Link customers with manufacturing plants regionally and globally
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Engineering or Technical field; relevant experience can substitute formal education
  • Knowledge of automotive core tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, FTA, GD&T
  • Certified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (preferred)
  • Knowledge of IATF16949 and Customer Specific Requirements
  • Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
  • Eligible for visa applications
  • Willing to travel 10%-25%, domestically and internationally
