Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Customer Engineer to partner with technical sales teams as a hybrid cloud SME, helping startups and customers design and deploy cloud solutions on Google Cloud. You will lead architectural discussions, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure successful adoption of Google Cloud technologies.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to stay ahead of industry trends and provide scalable, AI-enabled cloud architectures across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in architectural design patterns, platform engineering, virtualization, container deployments, application security, or networking.
• Experience presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify business opportunities and develop a strategy to achieve a technical win in cloud-native architecture.
• Educate startups and scaleups on Google Cloud value proposition and lead architectural discussions for successful adoption.
• Collaborate with sales to formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed business objectives through GCP adoption.
• Build relationships with executive technical stakeholders and customers to enable cloud advocacy.
• Travel to customer sites and events as needed and act as a public advocate for Google Cloud.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience with architectural design patterns, platform engineering (e.g., Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, image management or repository management), virtualization deployments, container deployments, application security, or networking.
• Experience working with and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working with the startup ecosystem.
• Experience in technical sales or consulting in cloud computing, application development and cloud native architectures.
• Experience in assessing and building cloud native software architectures including application runtimes, databases, serverless environments, container and Kubernetes stacks and event-driven designs.
• Expertise in the area of application development for AI use cases, including the integration with AI (via APIs or MCP), the integration with agents (Agent Development Kit or Agent2Agent Protocol) or the deployment of AI-empowered apps.

• Educate startups and scaleups on the value proposition of Google Cloud, and lead architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful adoption of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technology deployment in the cloud.
• Collaborate closely with sales teams to formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed business objectives through the adoption of GCP.
• Build deep relationships with executive technical individuals and customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
• Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed, act as a public advocate for Google Cloud.
