Job Description:

The respective position within the Real Estate Risk unit is embedded in international and domestic risk, including Corporates, Public and Institutional clients, Participations, and Project financing. The international and domestic departments of the Bank source financings in Austria, Western Europe, and the US on bilateral and syndicated basis, including financing Loan portfolios. Commercial Real Estate, beside Corporate financing, is a significant source of asset growth and profitability for the Bank in the coming years.

Main Tasks
  • Analyze new and monitor existing Real Estate lending and investment proposals, including credit quality, collateral, and monitoring framework; prepare independent credit opinions for presentation to Credit Committee.
  • Validate internal ratings for counterparties and facilities on an ongoing basis.
  • Review and approve waivers to post-signature events, such as contract breaches and restructurings, and any credit-related changes to contracts in close consultation with other departments.
  • Provide recommendations on credits for transfer to watchlist or workout group.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Bank's risk-related policies and procedures and the Risk division as a whole.
  • Attend the Credit Committee for relevant and specific transactions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of various risk-related projects by providing expertise.
Your Profile
  • Experience as a Real Estate Risk officer in a major financial institution, including oversight of syndications and mezzanine financing.
  • Familiarity with markets in Western Europe, UK, and US preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of credit-related legal documentation and the establishment of appropriate covenants.
  • Experience with credit risk assessment methodologies, rating agency criteria, and risk-pricing techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills and capacity to quickly provide sound judgment on various credit issues.
  • Sound business judgment with an understanding of broader business issues and individual risks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with ability to work within a small group and under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, notably influencing, negotiating, and collaborating, with a flexible approach.
  • University degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and German essential.

Your point of contact

For this position, the full-time minimum gross salary under the collective agreement is €44,476.88 before tax. Depending on experience and training, there is a willingness to overpay.
