Your responsibilities

The role involves conducting counterparty and exposure analysis, reviewing contracts, negotiating credit terms, and communicating with stakeholders. The analyst will advise senior management on investment decisions by modeling credit risk solutions and evaluating credit risks of new and existing business.

The (Senior) Credit Risk Analyst will report to the Head of Project and Finance Credit Risks.

  • Manage credit risk arising from Uniper’s activities, including trading, procurement, and asset-related solutions.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify key risks at individual and portfolio levels.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with credit limits and terms.
  • Structure and negotiate credit components and collateral concepts in contracts; represent Uniper in credit negotiations.
  • Conduct high-quality credit risk assessments, including financial modeling of derivatives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on market developments and credit trends.

Your profile

  • Several years of relevant experience, preferably in energy.
  • Degree in econometrics, finance, economics, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in modeling credit risk exposure.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, proactive, and solution-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with credit risk tools and methodologies.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
