FC Bayern is seeking a (Senior) Content & Marketing Manager (m|f|d) to lead and focus on content & social media strategy. This role is also responsible for fan engagement, and marketing initiatives in the Americas. Based in our New York office, this role will oversee the management of our regional social media agency, drive localized content production, engage with fan communities, and support brand activations. This position collaborates closely with headquarters in Munich and reports to the Managing Director - Americas.

Your Tasks

Content Strategy & Social Media Management:

  • Implement a strategy to grow and engage with the audience within the Americas
  • Create and execute content plans, including briefing, managing asset production, and coordinating with designers, videographers, and external creators
  • Oversee the management of FC Bayern’s social media agency for US, ES, PT, and EN channels, ensuring alignment with global brand strategy
  • Lead the content calendar strategy for the Americas, ensuring key moments are maximized across digital platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Track and analyze content performance, optimizing based on insights and industry trends
  • Ensure effective community management, engaging with fans across channels
  • Conceptualize campaigns in conjunction with partnerships team and identify (digital) direct-to-consumer monetization opportunities for fans in the region
Fan Engagement & Growth

  • Serve as the main contact for North & South American FC Bayern fan clubs, fostering relationships and supporting engagement initiatives
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow and activate fan clubs across key markets
  • Plan and execute digital and in-person fan experiences that align with FC Bayern’s brand values and regional objectives together with HQs Fan & Fanclub Division
Marketing & Event Activation

  • Lead regional event activations, including branding, experiential marketing, and local partnerships that enhance FC Bayern’s visibility and engagement in the Americas
  • Support the execution of FC Bayern-led events, including watch parties, fan club meet-ups, and commercial activations
  • Collaborate with commercial partners to integrate FC Bayern into local markets through innovative campaigns and activations
Required

Your Profile:

  • 4+ years of experience in social media, content creation & strategy as well as marketing within sports & entertainment
  • Deep understanding of US and LATAM fan culture, digital trends, and audience behavior
  • Strong knowledge and passion for soccer, particularly European football
  • Creative mindset with a strong ability to generate and develop innovative content ideas
  • Proven experience managing external agencies and content production workflows
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in event planning, fan engagement, or grassroots marketing initiatives
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Preferred

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and basic video editing
  • Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese
  • Experience working with international sports organizations or brands
