Role Summary

The Project Manager II handles more complex projects with a greater degree of independence than a Project Manager I. This role is instrumental in mentoring junior team members and contributing to the strategic planning of projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage complex project activities for multiple projects across all project phases.
2. Provide communication to internal and external stakeholders on project status.
3. Serve as a mentor to Project Coordinators and Project Manager I roles.
4. Engage in comprehensive project planning and execution with minimal supervision.
5. Assist client transition to steady operations.
6. Refine our methodology based on industry best practices with continuous feedback and well-defined metrics to drive improvement.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
8. Ensure procedural issues are quickly resolved and help implement strategies and solutions to reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
9. Identify opportunities for innovation including assessments of risk/reward to the company.

Qualifications:

1. Advanced project management skills with PMP certification preferred.
2. Proficiency in managing projects in TCP/IP and cloud-based networks.
3. Knowledge of security platforms (e.g., SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response)) and cloud-based networks.
4. Prefer experience in a SOC (Security Operation Center) or MDR (Managed Detection and Response) operation.
5. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with substantial project management experience.
