Job summary

Magpie Projects Holding GmbH in Germany seeks an experienced consultant to advance AI and data analytics projects for the financial services sector. You will join an international team applying cutting-edge tech and agile delivery.

You will design data pipelines, build dashboards in Power BI/Tableau, and deploy architectures on AWS/Azure/GCP. A strong mix of German and English communication and hands-on expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quantitative or business field; Master's degree, MBA, or PhD is a strong plus.
• Initial hands-on experience in Data Architecture & Databases, Cloud Infrastructure, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, ML, LLM & Context Engineering, or Business Process Automation.
• Data-driven business models are familiar; translate complex requirements into concrete technical solutions.
• Strong interest in current AI trends in finance and commitment to continuous professional development.
• Communicate confidently in German and English to explain technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Experience and interest in agile methodologies.
• Team player with intercultural competence; able to work on-site with clients.

Responsibilities

• Support AI and Data Analytics projects in finance using agile work packages.
• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Extract actionable insights from complex datasets using statistics and ML models.
• Build interactive dashboards/reports with Power BI and Tableau.

• Engineer automated solutions using AI frameworks, Prompt Engineering, and RAG.
• Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.
• Support proposal processes, develop POCs, and prepare presentations.

Your responsibilities

• Support AI and Data Analytics projects in the financial sector by planning, organizing, and executing work packages using agile methodologies, ensuring compelling results are delivered and presented on time.

• Design, develop, and optimize robust data pipelines, including scalable ETL and ELT processes.

• Extract actionable insights from complex datasets using exploratory data analysis, statistical methods, and Machine Learning models.

• Empower data-driven decisions by building and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI and Tableau.

• Leverage leading cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP to build and deploy modern data architectures.

• Engineer automated solutions for complex business challenges using cutting-edge technologies such as Agentic AI frameworks, Prompt Engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

• Collaborate actively within interdisciplinary teams, learn from experienced colleagues, and build long-lasting client relationships through outstanding project delivery and high customer satisfaction.

• Drive thought leadership and business development by supporting proposal processes, developing Proof of Concepts (POCs), and preparing presentations and whitepapers.

• Actively participate in internal knowledge-sharing around Data Analytics and AI, and continuously advance your professional profile by taking advantage of coaching and training opportunities.

Your ticket

• Your educational foundation is a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business-related field. A Master’s degree, MBA, or PhD is a strong plus.

• You bring initial hands-on experience in at least one of the following key areas: Data Architecture & Databases, Cloud Infrastructure, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, LLM & Context Engineering, or Business Process Automation.

• Data-driven business models are familiar to you, and you can easily translate complex business requirements into concrete technical solutions.

• You are highly interested in current technological trends in the financial sector – especially in Artificial Intelligence (AI) – and have a clear drive for continuous professional development.

• Confidently and precisely, you communicate in both German and English to make technical concepts easily understandable for diverse stakeholders.

• You tackle analytical challenges with a structured approach and demonstrate a strong interest in agile methodologies.

• As a true team player, you stand out with intercultural competence, a good sense of humor, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a hands‑on approach – including readiness for on‑site client work.
