Senior Consultant (f/m/d) Network Studies

About the Role

The Senior Consultant (f/m/d) Network Studies will carry out and lead technical studies related to grid connection of products, systems, and solutions. The role involves developing new solutions for renewable grids and decarbonization, supporting pre-acquisition and sales activities, and educating customers about grid stability and future grid development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage execution and project management of electrical power system studies, including network planning and grid development.
• Support business development by presenting product and solution capabilities to clients.
• Coordinate engineers across technical groups and virtual teams in a multicultural environment.
• Build and maintain customer relationships globally.
• Integrate power electronic devices, renewable generation, and storage into AC grids through various studies.
• Coordinate external partners and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in electrical power engineering with relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in power system analysis for generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Expertise in high voltage applications, power transmission, power electronics, renewable energy, and power system planning.
• Proficiency with power system simulation tools such as PSS/E, PowerFactory, NETOMAC, PSCAD/EMTDC, Matlab/Simulink.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Strong presentation skills for representing Siemens Energy to clients and at conferences.
• Initiative, creativity, analytical, and strategic thinking, teamwork, customer focus, and intercultural competence.
