Our AI Development department serves as a facilitator for Data & AI transformation. We are taking a holistic approach, from the initial evaluation of AI maturity, through the design and development of data and AI solutions, to the practical implementation and scaling of AI solutions. Through our deep expertise in Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, we ensure that our clients gain the maximum value from their data.
Your tasks
- As part of our project team, you will enable advanced data science and analytics solutions by integrating and processing diverse data sources, including structured and unstructured data
- You will architect and deploy scalable, modern data platforms to meet customer needs, ensuring optimal performance, security, and resilience
- You will provide strategic guidance to customers and internal colleagues on data architecture, technologies, tools, and best practices, acting as a trusted advisor
- You will implement and orchestrate end-to-end data processes with a strong focus on data quality, security, and resilience
- You will operationalize and manage scalable data infrastructures in cloud environments, automating deployments and monitoring systems for reliability
- You will mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture within the organization
- You will contribute to internal knowledge exchange by hosting workshops, publishing technical blogs, or presenting at company events
Your profile
- You have successfully completed your master’s degree, e.g., in the field of (business) informatics or a comparable degree
- You have over 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of data engineering
- You are highly skilled in Python, Bash/Shell, and SQL, consistently writing clean, efficient and maintainable code
- You ideally also bring knowledge of R, Scala, Java or C
- You have deep expertise in modern data architectures, such as Data Lakes and Data Lakehouses, and a strong understanding of relational databases and ETL processes
- You have hands-on experience with distributed systems (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka) and you are proficient in leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to build robust data solutions
- You have ideally experience in processing unstructured data in the context of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- You are confident in leading technical discussions and you communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including non-technical audiences
- You take ownership of your work with a strong sense of accountability, and you approach challenges with a structured, detail-oriented mindset
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and have advanced German skills or are eager to improve them
