We are currently seeking a Senior Consultant Airside Planning (f/m/d) to join us at our Berlin location.
Responsibilities
- Lead airside design projects and contribute to airside workstreams within airport master planning initiatives.
- Perform demand and capacity analyses for airside infrastructure, defining operational and spatial requirements.
- Translate planning objectives into practical airfield designs and optimized layout solutions.
- Prepare, review and update Airport Master Plans and Airport Layout Plans (ALPs) in line with regulatory and operational standards.
- Utilize simulation, modeling, and analytical tools to identify capacity constraints and enhance airside performance (optional).
- Collaborate effectively with clients, multidisciplinary internal teams, and external stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
- Support and initiate business development activities, contributing to proposals and client engagement in airport planning projects.
Qualifications
- Airport Airside Planner with proven experience in airport planning, airside master planning and airside infrastructure development and a degree in Aeronautics, Aviation Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical mindset with advanced conceptual design and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for detailed airfield design and layout development.
- Experience with simulation and modeling tools (e.g. CAST, AirTOP, and SIMMOD) for operational analysis is an advantage.
- Ability to conduct demand and capacity assessments and define infrastructure requirements.
- Skilled in identifying operational bottlenecks and developing data‑driven optimization strategies.
- Solid knowledge of relevant regulations (ICAO, EASA, national) and experience in planning runways, taxiways, aprons, and stand planning design.
- Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage interfaces between airside, landside, and terminal planning.
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and manage client relationships.
- Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and delivery oversight.
- Effective communicator with strong presentation and report‑writing skills and fluent in German and English.
