Job summary

Exyte Dresden is seeking a Senior Construction Supervisor (m/f/d) to lead industrial site operations on complex projects. You will coordinate construction and installation activities, supervise crews, ensure safety, quality, schedule and budget adherence, and serve as the primary on-site contact with customers and stakeholders.

The role requires a technical apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or plant construction, several years of field experience, proven leadership, welding knowledge, ERP

Qualifications

• Completed technical vocational training or apprenticeship in a relevant discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Plant Construction, Piping, Welding, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field.
• Several years of professional experience in industrial plant construction, process plant construction, or similar environments.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience managing construction teams and subcontractors.
• Solid knowledge of welding processes, welding techniques, and quality requirements.
• Experience coordinating construction activities in a multidisciplinary project environment.
• Strong teamworking and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in PC applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV).
• Good German language skills, both written and spoken; English is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Lead construction sites in accordance with project requirements and ensure smooth site operations.
• Set up and demobilize construction sites.
• Deploy, supervise, instruct, and train site personnel.
• Monitor and oversee the execution of all construction and installation activities.
• Organize and coordinate work preparation activities on site.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and accident prevention regulations.
• Coordinate tools, equipment, and materials on site and arrange procurement according to project requirements.
• Monitor financial aspects of the project, including adherence to budget targets.
• Schedule inspections and review inspection reports and documentation.
• Inspect and document weld samples and welding quality records.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and as-built measurements.
• Perform commissioning activities in the presence of customer representatives.
• Serve as the operational interface to customers, including participation in construction and coordination meetings.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders.
• Depending on project size, actively support installation and assembly activities on site.

As aSenior Construction Supervisor (m/f/d), you will play a key role in the successful execution of complex industrial construction projects. You will be responsible for leading site operations, coordinating construction and installation activities, supervising personnel, and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
