We are seeking an experienced (Senior) Compliance Officer (m / w / d) to join our compliance team. Our commitment is to uphold the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance across all operations. As we grow, we need a dedicated team member to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and to support our efforts in enhancing our compliance system.

Your responsibilities

1. Develop, implement, and advise on compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
2. Conduct risk assessments to identify compliance risks and potential mitigations.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to assess the impact of new regulations and industry developments.
4. Investigate compliance issues, incidents, and complaints; recommend corrective actions.
5. Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
7. Interact closely with ICS, legal, and sustainability functions.
8. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory authorities as needed.
9. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in business, law, finance, or related fields. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) is advantageous.
10. Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related fields, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or logistics sectors.
11. Strong understanding of relevant laws, including the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, CSRD, anti-money laundering, and anti-corruption laws.
12. Proven track record in developing and implementing compliance programs; experience with external audits and knowledge of IDW PS 980 is beneficial.
13. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
14. Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a high affinity for tech solutions to streamline processes.
15. Strong ethical standards and a commitment to integrity and transparency.
16. Effective communication skills in English and German; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
