Trading212 is expanding its compliance team in Germany, based in Berlin, to uphold regulatory integrity and BaFin guidelines. You will join a fast-paced fintech environment focused on responsible product governance and risk controls.

As a senior compliance professional, you will provide expert advice across products, conduct risk assessments, and oversee promotions review processes. English proficiency is essential; German language skills are a strong advantage.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in compliance within a MiFID-regulated firm.
• Degree in Law, Finance, or related field.
• Professional English; German language skills are a strong advantage.
• Minimum five years in a compliance-focused role.
• Strong understanding of BaFin guidelines and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to work under pressure.

What you'll do

• Ensure operational excellence in all relevant compliance areas while aligning with BaFin’s regulatory guidelines.

• Provide expert compliance advice on current and future products, services, and overarching compliance topics such as product governance, vulnerable customers, conflict of interest, outsourcing, and conduct risk.

• Support and drive compliance projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver results within agreed timelines.

• Oversee the financial promotions review process, ensuring all materials meet regulatory standards.

• Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures, ensuring effective implementation across the organization.

• Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, offering tailored compliance guidance to support business objectives.

• Collaborate with the Legal team to manage regulatory interactions, including the relationship with BaFin.

What you need to have

• Proven experience in compliance, with a track record of driving operational excellence within a MiFID-regulated firm.

• Educated to degree level in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.

• Professional proficiency in English, with German language skills considered a strong advantage.

• At least five years of experience in a compliance-focused role, with exposure to senior responsibilities.

• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks and guidelines, particularly those relevant to BaFin.

• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to take ownership and deliver under pressure.

• Experience working in international environments, coordinating across different time zones using digital tools.
