Trading 212 is expanding into Germany and strengthening its Compliance Team to uphold regulatory adherence. The role focuses on BaFin-aligned compliance in MiFID-regulated areas, delivering expert guidance on product governance, consumer protection, conflicts of interest, outsourcing, and conduct risk.

You will drive cross-functional projects, review financial promotions, maintain policies, and build relationships with stakeholders and the Legal team to manage BaFin interactions.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in compliance within a MiFID-regulated firm.
• Education at degree level in Law, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Professional proficiency in English, German a strong advantage.

What you'll do

• Ensure operational excellence in all relevant compliance areas while aligning with BaFin’s regulatory guidelines.
• Provide expert compliance advice on current and future products, services, and overarching compliance topics such as product governance, vulnerable customers, conflict of interest, outsourcing, and conduct risk.
• Support and drive compliance projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver results within agreed timelines.
• Oversee the financial promotions review process, ensuring all materials meet regulatory standards.
• Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures, ensuring effective implementation across the organization.
• Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, offering tailored compliance guidance to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with the Legal team to manage regulatory interactions, including the relationship with BaFin.

What you need to have

• Proven experience in compliance, with a track record of driving operational excellence within a MiFID-regulated firm.
• Educated to degree level in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Professional proficiency in English, with German language skills considered a strong advantage.
• At least five years of experience in a compliance-focused role, with exposure to senior responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks and guidelines, particularly those relevant to BaFin.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to take ownership and deliver under pressure.
• Experience working in international environments, coordinating across different time zones using digital tools.
