Siemens Energy is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to oversee the financial performance of our project portfolios in Germany. You will act as the commercial partner to the project manager, guiding revenue/cost analyses and negotiations to optimize business results.

The role requires IFRS knowledge, strong analytical skills, and fluent English and German communication. A Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is expected, with preference for Commercial Project Manager certification.

• Strong experience in financial reporting, business analysis, and commercial roles.
• Certification as Commercial Project Manager is advantageous.

As part of the dynamic Siemens Energy Commercial Project Management team, you will make an important decision every day helping the project as well as the customer to reach their goals - energizing the world by implementing our innovative solutions and products within the project calculated budgets.

In your role, you will experience varied workdays. For example, you could virtually negotiate with clients and sub suppliers in the morning, then discuss process and cost improvements internally as well as externally. In the afternoon, you may be deep diving into the commercial KPIs, updating the relevant systems and making sure that our FC in Siemens Energy is accurate as possible.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Overseeing the overall project financial performance, providing insight commercial/financial analysis, and improving the result together with the project manager
• Acting as the commercial partner of the project manager, leading the development & analysis of project business data to facilitate decision making and customer negotiation, such as revenue/cost analysis, risk/opportunity analysis or business result optimization.
• Ensuring accuracy of project books and records as well as preparing commercial documentation for regular project status meetings
• Conducting contract negotiations regarding commercial aspects and setting up as well as supporting claim management
• Streamlining and improving the structures and business processes within the project management organization to ensure effective communication as well as collaboration with different stake holders.
• Being the financial expert within the project management team ensuring the implementation of Siemens financial guidelines as well as compliance with local accounting principle & tax regulation

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree and above with academic background in financial accounting
• Longstanding work experience in financial reporting, business analysis and/or commercial
• Experience in execution of demanding a B/C projects- A certification as Commercial Project Manager would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial aptitude, able to understand the business behind the data
• Understanding IFRS, PRC GAAP and the difference between them
• Excellent communication skills in English and German, both verbal and written
