We are looking for a (Senior) Commercial Finance Business Partner (d/f/m) to join our FP&A team at mobile.de in Berlin.

You will provide crucial financial analysis and strategic insights to support our sales operations. Your work will directly influence decision-making, align sales with financial goals, and optimize performance to drive business growth.

This position operates on a hybrid model, requiring a combination of remote work and in-office presence at our Berlin office in Charlottenburg You will report to the Head of FP&A.

What you will do:

Financial analysis & reporting:

  • Evaluate sales-related financial reports, including revenue and margin performance.

  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, highlight risks, and uncover opportunities to improve sales performance.

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth, profitability, customer acquisition cost, and average deal size.

  • Provide actionable insights to sales leadership and finance teams to inform sales strategies and drive results linking the sales strategy to the budget or forecast.

Commercial / Sales strategy support:

  • Define, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales incentives, discounts, and promotions.

  • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis to assess the potential financial impact of diverse sales strategies.

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to understand our priorities, and ensure financial alignment with strategic goals.

  • Develop ROI models to assess the effectiveness of sales efforts and evaluate investment requests.

Collaboration & cross-functional support:

  • Partner with sales teams and business owners to align targets with long-term goals.

  • Provide financial support for special projects, business case development, and ad-hoc sales analysis.

  • Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.

  • Performance monitoring and data-driven recommendations to support management

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Commercial / Sales Finance, FP&A or business analytics

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

  • Proficiency in financial modelling, Excel/Google sheets and data analysis tools (Looker, Tableau etc.)

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data clearly and concisely into relevant insights for a range of different audiences.

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and independent work skills, succeeding in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Highly accurate and deadline-oriented way of working

  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.

  • A valid EU work permit
