Our platform team focuses on providing smarter tooling and robust processes in a secure cloud environment. The goal is to reduce cognitive load and enable our product delivery teams to concentrate on their core tasks. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will help us achieve an excellent developer experience.

What you can expect in this role

• Improve product delivery at Aroundhome by prioritizing the developer experience and removing unnecessary cognitive load.
• Design and build user-friendly tooling and tech stacks, understand developers’ needs, and address pain points.
• Transform the traditional platform team into a product delivery team serving our internal tech customers.
• Maintain and leverage the advantages of cloud technologies.
• Continuously evaluate innovative approaches.

Your essential experience and education

• Passionate and experienced Platform Engineer or cloud-savvy software developer who values developer experience, agile practices, and experimentation.
• Strong engineering background, preferably with Go, Ruby, or Typescript, to connect with developers and understand their needs, combined with cloud expertise.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP), container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker), and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform).
• Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions such as DataDog and Linux/Unix.
• Passion for providing developers with the right tools, processes, and environments to maximize productivity and business value.
