• 5+ Jahre Erfahrung in agilen Umgebungen und tiefes Verständnis für cloud-native Technologien.

In agile teams, we develop innovative digital solutions for BASF and its customers, create new exciting customer experiences and business growth, and drive efficiencies in processes. We provide IT that works and offer know-how and access to latest technologies in the areas of cloud computing, blockchain or big data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The product team "OT Cloud Services" architects and develops cutting-edge solutions for digitalization of production and operational technology within BASF. This expert consulting and development team supports BASF operating divisions and other teams to leverage the full potential of modern cloud technologies and edge computing across various interesting and demanding projects like Al based production optimization, predictive maintenance or asset monitoring.

• In this role, you will ensure scalable implementation and reliable operations of OT cloud solutions on both cloud and edge using software development, container orchestration and infrastructure automation.
• You architect and develop modern cloud-native applications based on popular open source projects and established best practices.
• Furthermore, you do backend development based on REST, gRPC / protobuf, preferably based on C#.
• You set up and maintain databases, with focus on postgresql, e.g. using operators on kubernetes or using cloud-provider specific services. You know how to design data models in data bases.
• In addition, you implement advanced DevOps approaches, designing and operating cloud native applications based on Kubernetes, helm, kustomize, REST, gRPC preferrably utilizing GitOps approaches best on Flux, Fleet or ArgoCD.
• You have basic experience in Azure DevOps and Azure Cloud.
• You take over the steering of software providers and implementation partners to deliver solutions compliant with cloud native standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• bachelor or master degree in computer science, informatics, engineering, physics or in a comparable field
• minimum 5 years of related working experience in agile environments
• deep understanding of the cloud native computing foundation (CNCF) ecosystem as well as distributed system design, messaging, consistency guarantees and software architecture
• advanced skills in at least one backend development programming language, e.g. C#, golang. C++, Rust
• experience in industrial production and operational technology is a plus
• fluent english skills and strong drive to acquire new skills and learn about new technologies
