SAP SE is seeking a Senior Cloud-Native Engineer to build and scale backend infrastructure for the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of professional backend/platform engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Go, C++, Java, or Node.js; Go preferred.
• Hands-on cloud-native experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Strong observability skills with Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace.
• Experience deploying on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Fluent English in written and spoken communication.

What you'll build

As a Senior Cloud-Native Engineer (f/m/d), you will build and scale the critical backend infrastructure for the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Your work will directly impact how thousands of developers and global businesses create and run their applications. In this role, you’ll transform our cloud capabilities by taking ownership of services that are essential to SAP's strategy.

• Build and operatethe highly-available, scalable microservices that form the backbone of the SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Architect and implementthe centralAPI gateway, handling massive-scale traffic, security policies, and observability for all of SAP's cloud products.
• Enhance our core Kubernetes infrastructureto provide a fast, reliable, and seamless deployment experience for developers usingthe SAP Business Application Studio.
• Take full ownershipof the services you build, adopting a "you build it, you run it" philosophy. This includes everything from initial codeto deployment and participating in on-call rotations to guarantee 24/7 service reliability for our customers.
• Elevate the team's technical capabilitiesby mentoring other engineers, driving architectural decisions, and establishing best practices.

What you bring

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field,with 5+ yearsof professional experiencein backend or platform engineering.
• Expertise in an object-oriented language like Go (Golang), C++, Java, or Node.js.Go is preferred.
• In-depth, hands-on experience with cloud-native paradigms, including container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesusing tools like Jenkins, or similar.
• Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools for distributed systemssuch as Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Fluent English language skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
