Zusammenfassung

SAP is seeking an intermediate DevOps Engineer for the Cloud Delivery Germany team, part of the Sovereign Cloud Organization. You will oversee production cloud operations of multitenant solutions in Germany and contribute to establishing a unified, competitive cloud footprint in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities include designing and monitoring cloud landscapes, multi-system integration, on-call incident support, and documentation improvements.

Your future role

We are looking for an intermediate level DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) to join the newly built Cloud Delivery Germany as part of SAP’s Sovereign Cloud Organization. With the buildout of new Sovereign Cloud regions, you will be taking part in laying the foundation towards a unified and competitive business in the regulated industry.

You will be responsible for production cloud operations of our multitenant solutions in Germany.

The Role Includes The Following Tasks

• Cloud Operations: Design, implement, monitor, maintain and optimize the SAP Sovereign Cloud system landscape for Germany.
• Setup of a multi-system landscape architecture and integration aspects between heterogeneous system technologies.
• Provide on-call support for incidents and performance degradations.
• Continuous improvement of implementation documentation
• Partner with engineering team to design and enhance the cloud operation processes

What You Will Bring

• A growing ability to work with independence on technical issues, combined with a collaborative mindset and willingness to work alongside experienced engineers across different time zones.
• Solid working knowledge of GitLab.
• Foundational hands‑on experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Good working knowledge of Linux, including SUSE.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following: Kubernetes, Helm, Python, BASH scripting.
• Intermediate experience with hyperscaler services, cloud computing concepts and databases.
• Developing debugging and troubleshooting skills with a genuine interest in solving technical problems.
• Ability to manage competing tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• A willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on‑call duties and flexibility to work in shifts, ensuring consistent coverage and support. The role includes an attractive remuneration package for shift work and on‑call duties.
• Commitment to maintaining daily office presence for efficient team collaboration. Available office locations are Berlin or St. Leon‑Rot.
