Diconium in Berlin is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead cloud architecture and delivery of scalable, secure, production-grade Azure platforms. You will own cloud design, implementation, and operational excellence with close collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on leadership, deep Azure expertise, IaC, CI/CD, and strong security practices to optimize performance and costs while ensuring high availability.

Qualifikationen

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent qualification and proven working experience as Cloud Engineer, Cloud Developer, DevOps Engineer or similar.
• Proven experience in planning, implementing and managing Azure infrastructures.
• Experience in stakeholder management and direct client contact.
• Experience in providing technical leadership and advising clients on technical concepts.
• Deep understanding of Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Active Directory, etc.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, ARM templates) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security concepts and best practices.
• AWS, Azure or GCP certifications are a plus.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineers and clients.
• Troubleshoot production issues across infrastructure, networking, and applications.
• Deploy, debug, and execute project activities related to cloud computing (CI/CD pipelines, infra validation, app validation).
• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based systems with secure data storage and observability.
• Suggest performance and cost optimization for cloud-related activities.
• Modify and improve applications to fit existing or new cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery and quality documentation.

Join our data crew. The data studio Berlin is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer (all genders) with deep cloud expertise to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and production-grade cloud platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership over cloud architecture, automation, and operational excellence. You will work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable cloud solutions, improve productivity, and continuously optimize performance, security, and cost.

What You Can Expect

• You will provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and best practices to engineers and clients.
• You will troubleshoot complex production issues across infrastructure, networking, and applications.
• You will deploy, debug, and execute project activities related to cloud computing for e.g. CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure validation, application validations.
• You will design, develop, and maintain cloud-based systems, ensuring efficient data storage, observability, security policies, compliance, access mechanisms.
• You will make recommendations for performance and cost optimization for activities related to cloud in the project.
• You will modify, improve and develop applications compatible with existing and / or new cloud infrastructure.
• You ensure high availability, disaster recovery and quality documentation.
• You will also interact with stakeholders to understand their needs and make recommendations based on it.
• You will educate and support other engineers on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
