A regional health service is seeking a Senior Clinician for its Youth Mental Health Initiative. You will provide trauma informed therapeutic interventions and lead the team in delivering evidence-based care. Applicants should have relevant qualifications and significant clinical experience in mental health, particularly with youth. The position offers a temporary part-time contract in an enriching community setting in southern NSW.

Remuneration
Clinical Nurse Specialist Gde 2: $57.11 to $58.99 per hour
Psychologist: $39.01 - $57.10 per hour
Clinical Psychologist: $55.10 to $67.16 per hour
Senior Psychologist: $60.12 to $65.15 per hour
Occupational Therapist Level 3: $56.69 to $58.52 per hour
Social Worker Level 3: $56.69 to $58.52 per hour

What You\'ll Be Doing
Youth Mental Health Initiative (YMHI) Senior Clinicians will provide trauma informed, culturally safe, intensive therapeutic interventions and integrated psychosocial responses to young people experiencing complex and severe mental health concerns. They will also provide leadership, mentorship and supervision to ensure the delivery of strengths based and recovery orientated mental health care and treatment.
The Youth Mental Health Initiative (YMHI) is a new youth mental health service that aims to improve early access to care for 12 – 25 years presenting to headspace services with severe and complex mental health needs. The YMHI will enhance youth mental health supports in Southern NSW by improving integration across services.
The YMHI senior clinicians will be part of the local specialist Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) Community Mental Health teams, with time co-located within the headspace centres. SNSWLHD YMHI senior clinicians will work together with headspace to enhance youth mental health pathways and services. This will be achieved by collaborating with partner agencies, developing streamlined referral pathways and ensuring timely transition of care between the partner services.

This is a Category A position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
