For our successful and rapidly growing Public Sector sales team in Germany, we are looking for an ambitious and passionate
IT (Key) Account Manager – Government & Public Sector / Federal Authorities (m/f/d) – nationwide
The focus of your tasks will be the long-term management of a designated customer base in the area of federal authorities, as well as the continuous expansion of this, strategic preparation, bid management, and responsibility for complex framework contract tenders.
Your specific tasks include:
You are responsible for the strategic marketing of our portfolios at NTT DATA, e.g., in the areas of Network, Infrastructure, System Integration, Cyber Security, Unified Collaboration, Data Center & (Multi) Cloud, tailored to the strategic customers in the environment of federal authorities.
You develop our existing federal customers as well as the partner network and acquire new framework contracts for our sales team.
You are responsible for identifying digitalization projects within the federal sector.
The sale of solution-oriented services and products from leading IT manufacturers (e.g., Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto) is part of your responsibility.
You develop customer-specific solutions together with specialist departments and present these concepts to the team and customers.
You increase NTT's visibility in the Public Sector (e.g., through customer events, innovation workshops, trade fairs, conferences).
Positioning NTT as a reliable advisor and direct contact for a secure, agile, and versatile IT landscape, and as a partner for digitalization in the public sector, is a key task for you.
What you bring to the table:
A commercial or comparable education or a completed degree with a business background.
At least 3-5 years of sales experience in the public sector, ideally in areas such as network solutions, unified communications, data centers, IT security, or converged collaboration.
A good network of contacts within the federal authorities and/or the defense sector.
Experience in public procurement law and public tenders.
A structured approach combined with careful, precise, and results-oriented work.
Negotiation skills and high reliability in meeting deadlines.
Willingness to undergo security clearance according to SÜG.
Confident handling of business metrics and complex calculations, ideally also familiar with Salesforce.com.
Solid and secure MS Office skills.
Fluent German and good English skills in speaking and writing are essential.
Nationwide and international willingness to travel.
