As our new Senior Category Manager (d/f/m), you will report directly to the Head of Category Management of Kleinanzeigen.de and play a key role in our quest to change trade for good by making re-commerce first choice for German online shoppers. Your focus will be on our Fashion and Home & Garden categories.
This is a hybrid role, and our office is based in Berlin Charlottenburg.
What you'll do:
Develop comprehensive strategies and recommendations to solidify Kleinanzeigen’s position as Germany’s leading re-commerce platform, prioritizing a consumer-first mindset in all initiatives.
Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and performance metrics to generate actionable insights and translate them into strategic recommendations.
Align and implement strategies cross-functionally with product development, marketing, and other teams to drive demand and enhance the C2C and B2C inventory selection.
Become a recognized category expert for Fashion and Home & Garden and the go-to person for category-related questions, providing valuable insights and guidance.
Act as the spokesperson for your category, representing its interests and advocating for its needs within the organization.
Collaborate across different functions from product development to marketing to drive demand to the marketplace and further bolster our leading C2C and B2C inventory selection. Your ultimate goal is to maximize successful transactions for our sellers and buyers.
Ensure that users can buy on Kleinanzeigen as easily as they buy from e-commerce by driving our transactional transformation including payments and shipping.
Who you are:
7+ years of experience in relevant roles in (r)e-commerce with focus on Fashion and / or Home & Garden
3+ years of experience in driving cross-functional delivery in matrix environment successfully
You can translate your strategic thinking into data-driven decisions and effective execution
You are able to take stakeholders from all areas of the organisation on the journey by building strong relationships and communicating effectively
In-depth knowledge of the German e- and re-commerce landscape, across C2C and B2C target groups
Fluent in English, fluency in German a big plus
