A new opportunity to join a leading global construction company as a Senior Buyer on projects in Germany.

Responsibilities:
  • Select suppliers that meet quality, compliance, and cost requirements
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring contract adherence and regular reviews
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and manage supply continuity risks
  • Monitor economic and geopolitical factors affecting construction materials
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., GMP)
  • Conduct analyses to identify value creation opportunities (e.g., sourcing, process improvements)
  • Manage Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), ensuring suppliers meet quality, cost, and delivery targets
  • Lead quarterly supplier reviews and create supplier profiles
  • Implement procurement strategies, including agreements and rebates
  • Drive sustainability initiatives
  • Oversee ERP-based procurement and material management systems
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team
  • Perform additional duties as required
Requirements:
  • Background in strategic procurement within the construction industry
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in Category Management
  • Process and procedure-driven
  • Proficient in procurement software, ERP systems like SAP, and data analysis tools
