An innovative energy technology company is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to lead strategic commercial efforts across the DACH region. Focused on the expansion of AI-driven Energy Management Systems, this role is central to unlocking new markets, building lasting customer relationships, and supporting the clean energy transition with cutting-edge digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive customer acquisition and revenue growth across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for AI-powered EMS solutions.
- Identify, engage, and convert enterprise and mid-market prospects across sectors including manufacturing, logistics, real estate, and energy-intensive industries.
- Navigate complex sales cycles involving technical buyers, sustainability leaders, and executive stakeholders.
- Develop tailored value propositions grounded in energy cost reduction, emissions tracking, and system automation.
- Establish channel partnerships and strategic alliances to accelerate regional growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, roundtables, and customer engagements throughout the DACH region.
- Provide feedback to product and engineering teams to inform roadmap development based on regional market insights.
- Maintain detailed oversight of pipeline, forecasting, and CRM discipline to support scalable growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in business development, solution sales, or enterprise SaaS — ideally in energy, cleantech, or smart infrastructure.
- Knowledge of the DACH energy landscape, including grid regulation, ESG priorities, and corporate sustainability trends.
- Prior experience with EMS platforms, energy analytics, or automation solutions is highly valuable.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate technical offerings into ROI-driven business cases.
- Familiarity with AI-powered or data-driven products in either the software or energy domains.
- Self-starter with a track record of independently growing accounts and building new commercial relationships.
- Comfortable engaging in both strategic discussions and hands-on execution.
- Native-level German and fluent English required; other regional languages a plus.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Systems, or related fields.
