Job Description

The Static Data Object Modelling and Compliance team is a dynamic group of business analysts and software developers located in Europe. We follow an agile process, collaborating closely within our team, with other teams, and with clients to develop new features and maintain existing systems.

Our team works with clients and partners to create innovative solutions that meet market demands and shape the future of back-office operations. As a key contributor, you will be involved in exciting and challenging projects.

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst interested in elaborating business requirements to support our developers in creating scalable solutions within the financial services industry. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance your Business Analysis skills and gain domain experience in banking and wealth management, becoming a functional expert of Avaloq's core banking software and related processes.

Your key tasks

1. Conduct customer workshops to demonstrate solutions and gather requirements
2. Create comprehensive system requirements specifications and provide effort estimates for new requirements
3. Contribute to solution design, documentation, and act as a liaison between Avaloq, customers, and third-party providers
4. Implement best practice configuration, parametrization, and integration of the product, including customizations where applicable
5. Analyze defects and new requirements, liaising with customers as needed
6. Provide consulting services regarding functionality in the responsible components
7. Define and execute test cases from a banking perspective
8. Create and maintain system documentation, collaborating with technical writers if necessary
9. Assess third-party system landscapes and legal environments for potential changes
10. Coach junior staff and external consultants

Qualifications

A bit about you

• University degree in computer science, business informatics, electronic engineering, or equivalent experience
• Experience with Compliance or Object Modelling
• Open-minded, team-oriented, and communicative
• Eager to learn and face new challenges
• Strong written and spoken English skills

• Avaloq Certification
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think abstractly
• German language skills
• Knowledge of banking industry, products, and processes
