About the role

As a Business Analyst, you play an essential role within the project. Your main mission is to understand the client and project needs and bring your expertise to build next-generation solutions in an agile Scrum/DevOps environment, collaborating closely with our international and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for projects from the beginning, serving as the interface between customers, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Help customers identify their needs and create and structure the resulting requirements.
• Incorporate industry and business-specific requirements into concepts and prepare requirements for technical implementation.
• Assess project feasibility based on your understanding of technical concepts and experience with preferred solutions during the pre-project phase.
• Understand customer challenges through close cooperation, consider their long-term strategy, and identify new opportunities in consultation with the Client Services team.
• Manage the project, maintain the product backlog, define requirements precisely, and set priorities with the customer.
• Support sales and business development with concepts and proposals for new projects.

Essential Experience

• Strong interpersonal, communication, intercultural, and people skills, with experience working across diverse locations and cultures.
• Degree in computer science, business informatics, or a related field, with relevant professional experience.
• At least 6-8+ years of experience as a business analyst or similar role.
• Understanding of business processes, process analysis, and optimization.
• Experience with early lifecycle stages of e-commerce projects, preferably with composable platforms like Commercetools, and knowledge of PIM, DAM, and OMS.
• Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques and writing user stories.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
