IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer to support hotel development, conversions and openings across Germany and Northern Europe. You will ensure engineering, safety and operational standards from design through to opening.

You will brief design teams on brand standards for engineering and safety, lead reviews, assess designs against IHG requirements, and drive resolution of issues while partnering with owners, operators, consultants, and project teams across

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Building Services or related field as listed.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for building infrastructure to comply with local/national codes.
• Minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience in Building Services Engineering, design consultancy or similar.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical/mechanical/sanitary systems, fire protection and life safety systems.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Building Services Engineer to support hotel development, conversion and opening projects across Germany and Northern Europe. Working across a diverse portfolio, you'll help ensure our hotels meet engineering, safety and operational standards from design through to opening

Your day to day

• Brief design teams on our brand standard requirements for Engineering & Safety Systems design & operational requirements.
• Lead engineering and brand safety reviews across the hotels lifecycles.
• Assess designs, technical submissions, and construction progress against IHG standards.
• Drive the resolution of engineering and safety-related issues.
• Partner with owners, operators, consultants, and project teams across Europe.
• Support hotel openings by ensuring compliance, safety, and operational readiness.

What we need from you

• Degree qualified in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical & Fire Safety Systems / Infrastructure.
• Understanding of the regulatory requirements for all building infrastructure to be designed and installed to comply with local / national codes.
• A minimum of 5 years post graduation experience of working within a Building Services Engineering, Design Consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of the design and operations of HVAC, electrical / mechanical / sanitary systems, fire protection, and life safety systems.
• Experience reviewing technical designs and solving engineering challenges.
• Fluent English essential. German or another European language is a plus.
