Job Opportunity: Associate Director or Director (all genders) Strategy & Transaction Communication at FGS Global

Our European team comprises more than 450 employees in cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Frankfurt, Paris, The Hague, and Zurich. We serve a diverse client base, including scaleups, listed companies, private equity firms, and multinational corporations, advising them globally.

We are expanding our Munich team, which advises German and international clients on strategic communications and financial transactions. We are seeking highly motivated communications professionals to join us in the roles of Associate Director or Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Serve as the primary or secondary client contact, advising on comprehensive communication strategies and all aspects of external and internal communications.
  2. Develop compelling narratives for complex situations, assist clients with positioning, and prepare their management boards, heads of communications, and IR executives for key milestones.
  3. Collaborate with international teams and practice groups to deliver integrated solutions, leveraging shared knowledge and experience.
  4. Monitor political and economic debates in Germany and Europe, providing tailored recommendations to clients and colleagues.
  5. Bring innovative ideas and formats to communication strategies, with a deep understanding of financial matters, M&A, IPOs, and financing activities.
  6. Network within the media landscape, engage with key contacts, and support new business activities and pitches, especially regarding the financial sector.
  7. Manage projects effectively, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to the growth of our Frankfurt office.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in communications, finance, economics, journalism, or political science.
  • 3-6 years of professional experience as an Associate Director and a minimum of 6 years as a Director in consulting, finance, communications, or journalism.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills in German and English.
  • Strong understanding of the German and international media landscape, especially business and financial media.
  • Ability to assess critical situations and provide informed recommendations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive attitude, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong people and project management skills, confident stakeholder interaction, and a passion for innovative communications.
