We are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at straiv.

You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining API integrations for our hotel tech platform, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional features.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build robust, scalable, and secure API integrations.
2. Take a hands-on role in building systems from the ground up, contributing to strategic engineering initiatives as we rebuild our platform.
3. You will support the rollout of new features within our solution.
4. Identify and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
5. Ensure high code quality through best practices like code reviews, testing, and documentation.
6. You share your technical knowledge with other developers in the team and thus continuously contribute to the improvement of our solution.

What you bring

1. At least 5 years of professional experience in web development using Python (FastAPI, Django), Ruby on Rails etc.
2. Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to tackling technical challenges.
3. Excellent collaboration skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
4. A valid work permit for Germany.
