Tasks

As part of the engineering team at Paretos, you will develop and operate the platform in collaboration with AI specialists and data engineers. Your role involves working on cutting-edge AI solutions to serve our current and future customers, with a mission to eliminate poor decisions. Your responsibilities include:

1. Integrating data-driven decision-making into user-friendly products or applications.
2. Collaborating with a diverse team throughout the product lifecycle, discussing and iterating engineering concepts and new requirements.
3. Designing, testing, and operating scalable software products with a high-achieving team.
4. Applying best practices for agile development, including writing clean code, testing, and conducting code reviews.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer, preferably in an AI or mathematically intensive environment.
• Proven experience in developing products or applications that solve complex, ambiguous business problems; experience in Retail, Logistics, or Manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously and independently.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Proficient in Python, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and complexity theory.
• Experience with backend frameworks and tools, SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Data Science, Machine Learning, Optimization, or Business Rules is a plus.
