YOUR FUTURE TEAM & ENGINEERING CULTURE Our mission as Backend Guild is to provide JOIN’s customers and their candidates with robust features, stable business flows, security, performance, resiliency. We believe backend engineering should be collaborative with Platform, DevOps, Product, and Frontend teams. We maintain our tools using our architecture based on Clean Architecture, strict linters, code generators, coding conventions, code snippets, and service templates to reduce mundane work. We prioritize TDD, ensuring all services are tested and releases are reliable and stable.

Tasks

• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps/Platform teams to develop meaningful features using our Agile SDLC/Kanban methodology.
• Conduct peer code reviews and participate in retrospectives to improve team processes.
• Engage in technical discussions on testing, architecture, automation, coding standards, etc.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience.
• 2+ years in a strongly typed language or TypeScript.
• Experience with RDBMS and ORM or raw queries.
• Good unit and integration testing skills.
• Experience with message brokers like SNS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Google PubSub, etc.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and changing priorities.
• Strong responsibility and reliability in project delivery.
• Eagerness to learn and grow.
• Self-evaluation and openness to feedback.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Node.js, GraphQL, GCP or AWS, gRPC, and proto buffers.
• Understanding of SOLID principles.
