We are seeking a (Senior) Backend Engineer (C#/.NET) (m/f/d) at our Berlin location, with hybrid work options. Our solutions provide flexible, customer-friendly payment alternatives, allowing consumers to choose when and how to pay, while ensuring steady cash flow for merchants.

You will be part of a fast-growing product & tech organization, shaping new teams and developing innovative products. Your daily responsibilities include:

  1. Designing, developing, testing, and deploying robust, maintainable software, applications, APIs, and workflows.
  2. Participating in and communicating technical architecture designs.
  3. Attending agile scrum ceremonies as part of a cross-functional team.
  4. Analyzing and implementing business requirements with proper documentation.
  5. Applying industry standards and best practices to improve our codebase and architecture.
  6. Contributing positively to our engineering culture by adopting and providing feedback on organizational and industry standards.

Required qualifications include:

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with C# and the .NET framework.
  • Experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications.
  • Knowledge of microservices and distributed architectures.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational databases, preferably SQL Server, and ORM tools like Entity Framework.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Azure, is a plus.
  • Practical knowledge of messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • EU citizenship or valid work permit for Germany is required.

  • Azure cloud services, Terraform, Kubernetes, microservices, .NET Core, REST APIs, TypeScript, Angular, Web Components, automated testing, Figma.
