Zusammenfassung

OMMAX is seeking a backend engineer to build the production backbone enabling Forward Deployed AI Engineers to turn agentic workflows into secure, measurable customer solutions. You will design scalable APIs, asynchronous systems, and robust integrations with enterprise apps.

You will work on orchestration patterns, state management, and observability, ensuring reliability and performance in production. Hybrid work across Munich, London, Amsterdam, Milan, Paris, and Berlin is offered.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of backend/platform engineering or distributed systems experience.
• Strong hands-on programming in Python and/or TypeScript; solid software engineering practices.
• Experience designing and operating scalable APIs, asynchronous systems, queues, databases, and distributed services.
• Familiarity with enterprise integrations including OAuth, webhooks, REST APIs, SDKs, and data ingestion pipelines.
• Practical experience with LLM or agentic patterns such as tool calling, orchestration, state management, retrieval, evaluation, or observability.

• Ensure production reliability via robust error handling, idempotence, rate limiting, fallbacks, and audit logs.
• Develop observability capabilities: tests, tracing, logging, dashboards, cost and latency monitoring.
