Soul is on the hunt for a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong grasp of blockchain technology, especially in developing scalable backend systems and smart contracts for next-gen web3 dApps.

Having, of course, a deep passion for building quality decentralized products, your work at Soul will involve designing, implementing, and deploying smart contracts on Ethereum and other EVM and non-EVM blockchains, working towards Soul's vision of achieving greater interoperability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex backend systems with an emphasis on high availability, scalability, and durability.
• Producing clean, efficient code that is well-tested and robust.
• Operating within a fast-paced startup environment, demonstrating initiative and the ability to address problems independently.
• Managing code deployment for high-value transactions, ensuring reliability and security.
• Continuously learning and applying new technologies and design patterns.
• Excelling in technical communication, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, concise manner.

The perfect candidate?

• A passionate interest in the Web3 and cryptocurrency industry, with hands-on experience with crypto applications, especially lending protocols such as Aave or Compound.
• Experience with distributed systems and container orchestration technologies, enhancing your ability to design and manage robust software solutions.
• A solid base of Solidity smart contract development.
• Crafting production-grade code that supports a high volume of user interactions, with a vast experience in Node.js/TypeScript.
• Vast experience with Web3 libraries and backend development.
