As our first fulltime technical hire you will oversee and be responsible for our tech product. Our group-buying community that's saving startups & SMEs thousands on their cloud spend each month - all without infrastructure access. We are looking for someone who will help us to further develop our tech product and at the same time build their own team in the medium and long term. You will be able to work with a modern tech stack and we will provide the device you wish.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Product Development:
   • Architect and build the product across the stack, from frontend (React & Node.js) to backend, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
   • Design cloud infrastructure that’s scalable, secure, and cost-efficient, supporting a growing product and customer base.
2. Cloud Optimization & Cost Savings:
   • Develop automated systems to manage cloud resources dynamically, maximizing cost savings through strategies like Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and group buying models.
   • Design multi-cloud solutions that optimize clients’ costs by seamlessly switching between or leveraging multiple providers.
3. Platform Scalability & Vision:
   • Build a robust platform with a long-term vision for scalability and reliability, ensuring it can handle future growth and increasing demands.
   • Address immediate technical challenges while laying the groundwork for a sustainable and scalable architecture.
4. Team Leadership:
   • Hire, mentor, and lead a team of engineers to deliver a high-quality, innovative product.
   • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and excellence while maintaining high standards of code quality.
5. Investor-Facing Communication (Bonus):
   • Collaborate with investors and stakeholders, presenting technical progress and demonstrating how the platform aligns with business goals.
6. Forecasting & Risk Management:
   • Develop predictive models to forecast cloud usage and costs, ensuring scalability without inefficiencies.
   • Implement risk management strategies to protect clients from overcommitting resources and overspending.
7. Client-Facing Technical Leadership:
   • As the company grows, represent the technical team in discussions with enterprise clients, offering expert insights into cloud architecture and optimization strategies.
8. Internal Collaboration:
   • Work closely with the founding team to align technical development with the overall business strategy, ensuring the product is on track for successful launch and growth.
