Job Description

Senior Automation Engineer / Ingenieur im Bereich Leittechnik / Discipline Lead I&C

Are you a Senior Automation Engineer (Instrumentation, Automation, Leittechnik) or project manager? Do you want to work on energy transition projects such as PtX, Carbon Capture, Energy Intensive Industries, or gas infrastructure? Do you want to play a central role in our projects?

Your new role

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will serve as the focal point for clients, suppliers, and projects. Your responsibilities include managing field instrumentation, automation systems, safety systems, networks, fire & gas detection, interfaces with mechanical & electrical packages, and vendor management. You will eventually assume the role of “I&C discipline lead” in our projects.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Directly interface with local German clients
• Act as project/discipline manager in collaboration with clients
• Lead multidisciplinary projects with the project team
• Coordinate with clients and suppliers
• Design and specify automation systems, including:
• Overall system topology and third-party interfaces
• SCADA, ESD / fail-safe systems, Fire and Gas
• Field instrumentation
• Contribute to procurement processes and clarify technical details during project execution
• Participate in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities
• Inspect and visit installations on-site

You will join a highly skilled technical team of 21 colleagues across Denmark and Norway, supported by our global engineering center. Our department delivers engineering and consultancy services worldwide within the energy sector, focusing on energy-intensive projects such as PtX plants, offshore energy, power generation, and gas infrastructure.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation/Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer, ICT, Marine Engineering, or similar
• A few years of relevant experience

• Knowledge in areas such as field instrumentation, SCADA/control systems (e.g., TIA, PCS7), ESD/fail-safe systems, or Fire and Gas
