Job Description:

I have partnered with an expanding semiconductor company in Munich, and due to their continued success, they are looking to hire a Senior Applications Engineer for SiC Modules.

The Senior Applications Engineer will be responsible for the conceptualization, definition, and applications engineering of next-generation SiC technology and molded power modules for automotive traction inverters.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Motivating and mentoring junior team members
  2. Developing power loss modeling software for wide bandgap semiconductors
  3. Driving thermal measurements, thermal efficiency, and EMI optimization
Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • A degree in electrical and electronics engineering or a related discipline
  • A proven background in semiconductor applications
  • Expert knowledge in SiC-MOSFETs
  • A good understanding of converter topologies
  • Circuit troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink, Altium, LabVIEW, and other simulation software
  • The ability to understand and design gate driver circuits for IGBT and SiC MOSFETs
