About the role

At Agile Robots SE, we are developing intelligent robotic systems and automation solutions. The complexity of such systems and the tasks, that have to be solved autonomously, increases rapidly. Therefore, professional frameworks and tools for programming robots efficiently are required.

In our innovative company, we build powerful software frameworks for orchestrating complex robotic systems to solve challenging tasks autonomously. This includes tools for system configuration, skill programming and parameterization, and task execution.

These software solutions are sold to various international customers to enable them to control their robotic workcells. Smooth integration and scalable deployment of our solutions are key goals of our company.

Your Responsibilities
  • Setup and integration of complex robotic systems for mobile manipulation tasks
  • Design and implementation of new customer-specific features using a rich set of extension points of our workcell-automation framework. These features include, but are not limited to:
    • Computer vision algorithms that are frequently created in close cooperation with other Computer Vision and AI Engineers
    • Hardware drivers for various types of new robots, actuators, and sensors
    • New UI screens
  • Traveling to international customers to understand and implement features, and to deploy our software products
  • Master's (or comparable practical experience) in robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related fields
  • Minimum of four years of work experience
  • Intermediate programming experience with Python or C++
  • Experience in robotics (Robots, AGVs, Cameras, PCBs, etc.) and embedded platforms
  • Practical experience in robot programming
  • Knowledge of system design & architecture software
  • Basic experience in Linux
  • Fluency in English
Beneficial Skills
  • Experience in computer vision incl. popular libraries (OpenCV, TensorFlow, PCL)
  • Intermediate programming experience with Python AND C++
  • Knowledge about industrial communication protocols and specifications (Modbus, RS-485, TCP/IP, EtherCAT, OPC-UA, Profibus, CAN)
  • Practical experience in PLC programming
  • Knowledge about functional safety norms
  • Knowledge about electrical circuits
  • Practical experience in CAD Software
  • Business fluent Chinese
