Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Senior AI Architect for Manufacturing with roles across Erlangen, Amberg, Karlsruhe or Berlin. You will design groundbreaking AI architectures and lead innovation across our global factory network.

You will collaborate with IT and solution architects, drive scalable AI deployments, promote best practices in AI software engineering, and provide technical leadership to diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with several years of relevant professional experience or a Bachelor's degree with extensive professional experience in CS, engineering, or a related field.
• 4–5+ years of senior-level experience in AI engineering, cloud software development, or comparable roles.
• Deep expertise in agentic AI (LLMs, multi-agent systems, prompt engineering) and mastery of cloud-native architecture (Azure preferred).
• Proven track record designing scalable, modular systems and driving software engineering best practices (clean code, CI/CD, Git-based workflows).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust AI architectures for IT/OT infrastructure, enabling scalable AI deployments across the global manufacturing network.
• Identify, develop and scale AI use cases by leveraging reusable capabilities and rolling them out across the factory network.
• Collaborate with IT and solution architects to ensure IT/OT compatibility and future-proof AI solutions.
• Establish and promote best practices in AI software engineering for developers of all levels.
• Provide technological and thought leadership, inspiring cross-functional teams to drive AI/ML innovation.

• 4–5+ years of senior‑level experience in AI engineering, cloud software development, or comparable technical roles
• Deep expertise in agentic AI (LLMs, multi‑agent systems, prompt engineering, LangChain/LangGraph or similar frameworks) and mastery of cloud‑native architecture (preferably Azure)
• Proven track record in designing scalable, modular systems and driving software engineering best practices (clean code, CI/CD, Git‑based workflows)
• Ways of working: You demonstrate strong leadership without formal authority, excel in cross‑functional collaboration, and inspire technical teams through clear communication and knowledge sharing
• Languages: Business‑level proficiency in English; German skills are an advantage
