Job Description

As Senior Manager Accounting Principles & External Reporting (m / f / diverse), you will be the contact for our internal stakeholders and external auditors regarding specific accounting issues.

• Preparation of accounting for parts of the Annual and Quarterly Reports, serving as contact for auditors
• Handling of accounting issues on an annual, quarterly, monthly, and case basis, including coordination for input
• Advising and guiding internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with IFRS for external reporting, applying basic accounting principles and internal guidelines
• Serving as a subject matter expert for complex accounting issues and providing technical supervision to junior colleagues
• Updating Accounting Guidelines (Financial Reporting Manual) and defining Group Accounting Policies
• Monitoring changes in accounting standards and legal requirements
• Providing training on accounting issues
• Participating in projects, especially M&A projects

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics focusing on Finance and Accounting
• Significant professional experience at an accounting firm or in the finance and accounting department of an industrial company
• Certified Public Accountant (German Wirtschaftsprüfer) exam is recommended
• Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements, preferably in a global, publicly listed company
• Deep knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)
• Project management experience in accounting-related projects (e.g., IFRS implementation, regulatory compliance)
• Fluent in English and German
• Intercultural sensitivity and strong cross-cultural communication skills
