Qualifikationen

• 4-6 years of combined Public Accounting and Private Industry accounting experience, ideally from a Big Four or growth-phase company.
• Experience with monthly group reporting and German tax compliance.

To continue this incredible adventure, we are currently looking for a talented Senior Accountant, full-time for our Finance team at our Berlin HQ (3 days per week).

As a key member of our Finance team, you’ll ensure the accurate recording of business transactions in line with German GAAP, with a particular focus on fixed asset accounting. You’ll also oversee and review the work of junior accountants, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and drive process improvements to streamline our monthly and annual closings.

Working in a SAP S/4HANA environment (experience with Lucanet is a plus), your main goal will be to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting operations—supporting the timely and precise preparation ofsingle-entity financial statements.

What you will contribute:

• Preparation of single-entity financial statements according to German GAAP
• Ensure accurate record-keeping for fixed assets, i.e. depreciation, impairments and COGS in compliance with German GAAP
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations for several entities, including areas like VAT, Intercompany balances, etc. on a month-end close basis
• Preparation of (ad-hoc) financial reports and financial analysis for various stakeholders
• Develop and implement new processes within the finance department and ensure ongoing adherence, notably in S/4 HANA
• Work with internal (IT, Controlling etc.) and external (Auditors, Tax advisors, Investors, Lenders) stakeholders in an efficient and constructive manner

What you bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, accounting, economics, MBA, or industrial engineering with a focus on (group) accounting, financial reporting, finance, or auditing
• 4-6 years of combined Public Accounting and Private Industry accounting experience, ideally from a Big Four, a growth-phase company and/or in a similar audit/consulting capacity
• Key technical accounting skills in German GAAP (HGB)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially MS Excel)
• Experience working with accounting systems (ideally S/4 HANA, Lucanet a plus), monthly group reporting, and German tax compliance
• Strong communication skills in English; B2+ German skills are strongly preferred
