Qualifikationen

Our client is a Japanesemanufacturer. Theyare seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (m/f/d) to join their German office on a 2-year fixed-term contract (30 hours/week).

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions (AR, AP, fixed assets, and general ledger).
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (knowledge of IFRS/J-GAAP is a plus).
• Handle VAT returns, sales lists, and liaise with external tax advisors and auditors.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for local management and the Japanese headquarters.
• Optimize and digitize internal accounting and controlling workflows.

• Degree in Business Administration/Finance, or a certified Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) qualification.
• Extensive experience in accounting, tax, and financial closing, preferably within a manufacturing or international commercial environment.
• Native-level German (C2); professional fluency in English (written and spoken). Japanese language skills are a plus.
• Strong proficiency in ERP systemsand advanced MS Excel skills.
• High accuracy, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to work independently in a cross-cultural environment.
