Job Description

Are you an experienced accounting professional with solid hands-on knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB)? Your responsibilities:

1. Take ownership of the general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with German GAAP (HGB).
2. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB.
3. Perform account reconciliations, including intercompany accounts.
4. Serve as a key contact for auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
5. Actively contribute to the development and digitalization of accounting processes and systems.
6. Collaborate closely with an international finance team working under both HGB and IFRS frameworks.

Qualifications

1. Proven track record in general ledger accounting within the German market (HGB).
2. Strong and up-to-date knowledge of HGB accounting principles.
3. Confident user of ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Office, especially Excel.
4. Structured, independent, and analytical working style with a strong sense of responsibility.
5. Intermediate German language skills (B1 minimum) to read and understand accounting documentation and communicate effectively.
6. Fluent English skills to collaborate within an international team.
7. Team player with good communication skills and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic environment.
