Job Description

We are the world market leader for reusable packaging containers (RPCs) for fresh food and are constantly optimizing our products. We help make the food supply cycle more sustainable, improving safety during food transport, reducing food waste, and increasing product lifespan. Our products and the reduced need for packaging materials help lower the carbon footprint.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform bookings and regular postings.
• Conduct monthly closing processes, including account reconciliation, internal reconciliation, reclassification, and reconciliation of circulating accounts.
• Prepare and book accruals and provisions.
• Carry out closing activities for fixed assets, such as subledger reconciliation, depreciation, and settlements; ensure accuracy and completeness of fixed asset master data and assets under construction.
• Generate ad hoc and regular reports, including statistical reports and monthly/annual report packages.
• Perform intercompany netting.
• Improve process documentation.
• Assist in onboarding new employees and share knowledge.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent in Accounting.
• Several years of accounting experience, focusing on general ledger, fixed assets, accruals, and provisions, preferably internationally.
• Deep knowledge of general ledger and fixed assets accounting, including VAT regulations.
• Experience with SAP FI.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
• Experience in accounting projects.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, cooperative attitude.
• High accountability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to different cultures.
• Language skills: fluent in English and at least one additional European language (preferably Spanish, Portuguese, French, or German).
